Having been around since 2003, Startlogic was un-officially one of Ipower hosting brands. When Ipower got bought in 2007 by the Endurance International Group, it became part of EIG’s army of 20 or so web hosting brands.

Customer service is a complete joke. It consists of three guys. One guy named Steve calls himself the supervisor. He hardly speaks English and is unreasonable at best.
The same three guys handle billing issues and their billing is a frightmare. You simply can’t cancel. They continue to bill you long (months) after cancelling your website. Then they threaten to destroy your credit rating.
Avoid this company at all costs. Do not use them at whatever price. You will regret your decision. They are dishonest people and their service is the worst in the industry.
If you have a problem, it’ll never get resolved.
Just say NO to this website host!!!

Startlogic has never been consistent except in messing up my site. So after fixing and starting all over I now sit with time on my hands because my site has been down for the last 6+ hours. Thanks again to the wonderful work of Startlogic.
Just a sample of what has happened to me.
They move to what they called “our new improve server” this was sometime ago but on moving my site all the links in my site were going back to the old server or actually the void of nowhere. You would have had better luck finding a link to a black hole in space then my site after “upgrade to our new improve server”. At least we know a black hole is out there my links going going gone. No more like gone gone and really gone. “Not our problem.” was what I heard from Startlogic it only after and simple logic that someone began to understand moving the root domain to a new server and having it linked to an old database in the old server (the old sever was gone) was their problem.
Fixed all and back up and running slowly. But the store was limping along and only the best of my customer would use it(too slow). So I moved the store to anther hosting service and left my company site on Startlogic. My home page has a link to the new store. Good idea maybe not. Now I wished I had moved the complete site.
Bad Startlogic – My site is down nothing not even an error page just a “The connection has timed out” page. So I check startlogic home page they are up and working just fine so I guess when they say 99.9% up time they are only talking about their own site. My site is gone today but startlogic is still up and advertising for more business. Maybe they should take care of the business they have first.
So trying to get to the bottom of this I call them.
Guess what happened? I will quote the call as best I can but it went something like this.
Ring – Startlogic answered “Hello” pause
One pissed off customer me “What’s going on my siiiiiiii”
I was Interrupted “Hello, Hello I am having trouble hearing you. The phone is not working. Please call back in a few hours” hang up
So thinking maybe the phone I called back I will save you the details but a new voice same script as above. Yes I called a third time third was same as the first. So it’s a loop.
So now I am going shopping for a new hosting server.

All three were down with the same message “we got problems with too much and it will take too long come back latter”
So I begin to wonder are all three the same hosting service under different domains?
And what’s up with this? Why is Google not black listing them for pretending to be or black hat SEO crap? So many web pages have the same set up and just a few things change that I have often wondered if they are just one company pretending to be three. Your guess I will not host with all three of them. Startlogic, Fatcow, Ipage. It appears they are all connected if not by company then defiantly by poor hosting service. With all three down at the same time it is anybody’s guess.
Or maybe I should just join them and put the same site same service under three of more domains and see what happens. Only the webmaster knows…………………………………..
